Which Seahawk are you?

Happy week 8! Halfway through the season already, as we are a Seahawks based group we all know our 4-3 Seahawks have had some real great moments and some real struggles. So as I lay in my hammock this morning watching the fog roll away as the sun rises on another 81 degree day here in Costa Rica , I’m looking over the roster before the trade deadline and thinking , who do you think anchors this franchise, who is “just a guy” on the team, and who should we be ready to cut next year to make room for better talent?  So as I know you’ll be clamoring for a blog post today, I decided to ask the question which Seahawk is each manager most like? So here we go: Bill - 1st place, most pointd scored, 6-1 record… I mean who is the true MVP, the GOAT of the team? Obviously Bill is JSN , hence the team name change this week to highlight the true anchor of the team!  Corrie- 2nd place, 4th in points scored, 6-1 record… Corrie has moment where she shines , cashing twice as the highest scorer ...

Lies, Damn Lies, and Statistics

Mark Twain said there were three kinds of lies in the world, let’s take a peek at the third kind, statistics !  So I didn’t have a ton of time to write this week before we delve into week 7… so here are the standings based on the different ways you can sort them, pull what info you can from this … You know the top players by record , it goes  1 Bill 5-1 2  Corrie 5-1  3 Dacia 4-2 4 Stephanie 3-3 5 Elisabeth 3-3 6 Rick 3-3 That’s your current playoff picture if the season ended today. However you can also sort by most points scored, this is an indication of where your team should end up over time …  1. Stephanie  2. Bill  3. Corrie  4. Brian  5. Joe  6. Amon Ra (name still hidden on yahoo so I forgot and didn’t bother to look it up)  This means that Stephane , Brian and Joe are ones to watch out for in those matchups because they have the potential to throw down big scores  Next you can sort by points scored against , this is ju...

80% ain’t bad

I mean looking back on it, I made predictions for all 5 matchups last week and I nailed 4/5 of them. That’s pretty good, Dacia snuck up on me and needed overtime on Monday night to storm the league and take her first $5 prize. Congrats…  It was nice this morning to wake up to the ranking and see my team back in first place , so the view from the top looks pretty decent.  After 5 weeks we have 4 teams with winning records  At 4-1 we have myself, Dacia, and Corrie all previous winners of the $5 top score prize  Alone at 3-2 we have rick…. In a mass of 4 at  2-3 , struggling to get back to .500 this week we have waiver wire, losers laugh, 360 mafia, and drunk ass Winston ,  And begging to be put out for f their misery at 1-4 we have Amon ra, and Geneva convention … The next 4-5 weeks are going to be full of byes and injuries, this is where those who pay attention and set their lineups will rise into playoff spots and those who forget will find themselves at th...

Contenders and Pretenders

ok, week 4 in the books and we’re seeing some separation in the rankings, this feels like a really bad year for injuries in highly drafted players, so now that we hit bye weeks with all injuries looming the next few weeks show who’s got more than just drafting skills but who can work some pickups and trades. Yes trades , don’t forget you can trade players in this league, so if your bench is loaded with too many running backs to start and you desperately need a TE, go out there and make an offer for one… it makes this more fun anyway,  Ok I’m going to look at the week 5 matchups , give my prediction on the winner, label each team as a contender or a pretender, and then tell you what position you most need to trade for… Here goes  Matchup 1  Dawg pound Corries (contender) ✅ 🆚  Amon Ra and Order (pretender) Corrie is leading the league, been top scorer twice and has that deadly combination of Bijan, Olave, Bowers, and the best defense (Vikings) in the league, with no ...

Week 3 - Power Rankings

Hey all, I have a little bit of time on my hands and I’m feeling like adding some spice to the league, so I’m going to publish a weekly (maybe) recap of the action and highlight a few things…  After 3 weeks we finally have enough separation in the standing to evaluate a little, so in the theme of espn, nfl and many other sites releasing their power rankings , I’m going to release my own for the league. This won’t be a pure 1-10 of the standings but more of a “how I see it” of teams performing.  This week I’ll also be sharing what I think was your best move in the draft and your dumbest mistake in the draft … Here we go .. #10 waiver wire wench  A respectable 418pts scored would be 4th place in a world where mathchups don’t count , but at 0-3 WWW sits in a last place hole  Best draft move - Kenneth Walker in the second round was a steal Dumbest mistake - back to back picks of kicker/defense in the 7th and 8th round was too early for a struggling rams D and Jason...
